Peter Treiber is a formally trained photographer with an Associate
Degree in Advertising Design from the State University of New York and
a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the Art Center
College of Design in California. After earning his BFA degree, he
moved to New York and worked for three independent photographic
studios in New York City. Later he was the Manager of Photographic
Services at International Nickel Inc. in New York City before moving to Bethlehem, PA to work for Bethlehem Steel Corp. as an
advertising photographer.
Since 1983 Peter has maintained a commercial photography studio in
Bethlehem, PA. He photographs with a high-end PhaseOne digital camera
system and makes his own prints on Crane archival papers with an Epson
4000 printer using an archival pigment set and RIP system from
American Imaging.
Peter is a General Member and past Chapter President of the American
Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). Also, he is a member of the
National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).
As an avid gardener and orchid collector, with inspiration from
Georgia O’Keeffe, Peter explores the unseen world of flowers with his
digital cameras.
Peter's commercial work has been published nationally and
internationally. Exhibitions of his photography have been at the
Bethlehem Arts Council, the Dakota Ridge Gallery, the Freedman Gallery
at Albright College, the Hypno Gallery, the Iacocca Gallery at Lehigh
University, Kutztown University, the Payne Gallery at Moravian
College, and by the ASMP Central Pennsylvania and
the ASMP Philadelphia.
